GIVEN that Floyd Mayweather is so hard to hit, it should be tricky to assess how solid his punch resistance is. Shane Mosley [pictured above] hurt him with a heavy right, Mayweather’s legs buckled but he didn’t fall. If Manny Pacquiao had Floyd in similar trouble, Mayweather would find it harder to escape. However there is little evidence to suggest Mayweather has any great weakness when it comes to durability.

Pacquiao is more reckless. It makes his fighting style appealing to watch but makes him susceptible to taking more punishment. Although it was an incredible punch from Marquez the memory of the Mexican knocking Pacquiao cold remains. Pacquiao could be the more vulnerable here, though Mayweather is unlikely to attack so boldly.
